Down to business I guess now. Like I said in my last post this will probably be my last post for a number of weeks because of figuring out how to do all of my personal stuff including school as well as these post. That is why I made this a bit longer than I intended and gave some juicy (by my standards) bits for everyone. This chapter introduces and semi-important character that will plague Alice. It also goes into some of the darker aspects to Alice and goes into some ways what Alice is. At that I would like to see what you the reader think Alice is and remember the Alice universe is fantasy in nature. So here is Alice's next chapter.
Alice, Jo and John walked of the bus and separated for their different home rooms. Alice headed to the main entrance to go upstairs while Jo and John both headed the other direction toward the cafeteria and go down. Alice lost sight of them fairly swiftly. She also was preoccupied with her breathing. Since she got off of the bus she had continued to inhale and exhale sap every male's energy. She also placed her hood up so no one would recognize her even though it was eighty-six degrees out and she knew it didn't work. Every guy still looked at her but for those within two hundred fifty feet of her immediately shivered and the girls gave venomous stares.
After a few minutes she got into her home room and started unpacking her textbook for her physics class which was in her home room and right after it. She saw other people starting to grab out homework that they hadn't finished for classes but she spent home room reading ahead and doing some of the extra credit that some of her teachers give out. She was about to do a question when Adriana and her boyfriend Samil.
"Good morning Alice, still wearing baggy clothes to make the guys think you aren't a child under all of those clothes."
Alice's blood started to boil. Adriana for some reason made it her personal vendetta to ridicule and humiliate Alice whenever she had the chance. Alice had one idea of why the girl did it and it was how Alice's presence caused men to react like they were smitten. She didn't know why it happened but she got over with it pretty quickly and the fact that John didn't react at all now showed it could diminish. This made her think that Adriana was upset that she wasn't the center of attention.
"Adriana. Do we have to do this again. I mean I really don't enjoy it and honestly don't care about whatever I did to you to make you hate me so much."
"Oh you think taking the high road will get me off you. You are so sorely mistaken and now you won't find any peace at school. I can get every single girl her to make your life a living hell and you know that they'll do it. Every single girl except your weird friends despises how your accursed presence drives guys to fall over themselves even if they have a girlfriend," Adriana said rising her voice until all in the classroom could hear.
The bell rang then and their teacher walked in. Adriana walked over to her desk glaring at Alice while she passed. Alice looked around the room and saw that the atmosphere of the room had changed. All the guys had that puppy dog look in their eyes that read we love you, play with us. It was the girls that seemed to change the most. Alice started thinking that maybe Adriana was right by all of the looks the girls gave but she changed her mind when she saw that a few of the girls had expressions that mimicked Adriana's but she didn't see the resolve in most of them.
Home room passed without much incident but Alice was a little worried about what would happen in physics because she believed that their teacher had arranged a lab and they had started on using lasers. As soon as the thought came to her she dismissed it because Adriana wouldn't get herself in massive trouble during class and instead would do something when a teacher couldn't see.
Adriana came up to Alice when the teacher left saying that they would all be going down to the basement lab when the bell rang and they should turn the homework in now and they won't be coming back for the rest of the period. Adriana had a few of the girls beside her but Alice smirked when she saw the vast majority stayed to the fringes of the room.
"Hey boyfriend stealer why don't you take off some of those clothes and show that you have the body of a child and nothing like what we have," said one of the girls with Adriana that Alice thought had a push-up bra on. Alice was irked and felt a small amount of hatred in herself when she heard that the girls thought that she was a boyfriend stealer.
"Yeah take them off, show all of the guys in class that your a baby underneath those bulky clothes. Then we wouldn't have to have sex just to keep our boyfriends and could use it instead to get some new clothes and stuff," another of the girls added. Alice smiled and blushed a little when she heard that because she knew that she had an effect that had guys notice her but she never had any of them try to have sex with her. In fact she had never even thought about having sex or intimacy until her dream.
Alice saw Adriana's face when she was finished smiling and she knew that the smile was a bad thing now and was regretting it. She was going to say that she was sorry but the teacher came in and Adriana and the girls dispersed. Alice went up to the desk and turned in her homework. After that she went back and put all of her items back into a bag.
"Once the bell rings we will be walking down to the basement lab. Alice take up the rear and lock the door please."
Alice agreed because it would allow her to see all of the girls and make sure the ones that came didn't try anything. The bell rang and everyone started out for the stairs that went from the second floor down to the first and then basement at the end of the hall. Alice closed and locked the door to the classroom. When they got to the stairs the class walked down them and Alice thought that no one would try anything. At the stairs leading down from the first floor she stared at the tree through the windows and she didnt see that the girl in front of her suddenly slowed down and put her leg out to trip her. She hit the girl's leg and went plummeting forward down the stairs. The teacher heard something and looked back and saw that Alice was tumbling down the stairs.
She rushed to Alice and asked what happened and if she was okay. Alice felt something building in her that felt good by one part of her but at the same time vile by another part.
"I'm fine, I must have tripped on the step. Shouldn't have been looking at a tree while going down stairs. We should get to the lab."
"Ok but go to the nurse if you feel anything is wrong and I'll write a note telling your second period teacher that you fell."
They walked down to the lab and Alice thought the feeling would abate but it didnt. She started to breathe longer and heavier and could feel the energy like in the bus start to come in more and more and she saw the effect that she was having on the guys. Every single one of them would shiver when she took a breathe and clutch themselves a little. One boy even said to the teacher that he felt cold and that had others start to say it as well. The teacher didnt know why it was happening and said that they would have to handle it for now and she would look into it. Alice was somewhat delighted by this and the surges of energy she felt had an intoxicating feeling to them but they didnt help her get over the anger she felt at the girl. She soon realized that the girl was just a pawn and the real person that she should be angry at was Adriana.
They got into the lab and Alice saw that they would be using lasers. It looked like a lab on refraction which she realized was what she had read in home room. She smiled but realized that her lab partner was in class and would have to do the entire lab by herself but this didnt quell the feeling of absolute hatred that she felt toward Adriana.
She saw Adriana going to the lab station she normally would go to and the hatred she felt toward Adriana boiled over and she whispered under her breath that she hoped the laser would turn on and blind Adriana. When she was finished talking under her breath the laser at the table turned on and the beam hit a crystal that was on the table. Before anyone could stop her Adriana turned and the beam hit her eyes. She screamed and shrank to the floor. Everyone stared while the teacher ran to Adriana and told one of the students to go get the nurse and tell what happened. Alice looked shock just like everyone else and part of her was but on the inside most of what she felt was sheer happiness. She started to walk toward her classmates but felt slightly wobbly and fell down.
